Azamara
Journey and Quest have two designated smoking areas located in the aft section of the Looking Glass Lounge on the port side, and on the starboard forward section of the Pool Deck. Smoking areas have signs indicating that smoking is permitted there. All other areas of the ship are non-smoking. This includes Public Rooms, Restaurants, Pool Deck, Staterooms and Suites, Verandas and Halls.
Carnival
Cigarette smoking in public areas will be permitted only in Carnival’s dance clubs, designated areas within the casino and casino bar, certain sections on the open decks on all vessels and also in the jazz clubs on 13 Carnival ships. The 13 ships include Carnival Destiny, Carnival Triumph, Carnival Victory, Carnival Spirit, Carnival Pride, Carnival Legend, Carnival Miracle, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Glory, Carnival Valor, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Freedom, and Carnival Splendor. Cigar smoking will also be permitted in the jazz clubs. On other vessels in the fleet, cigar (and cigarette) smoking will also be permitted in designated areas on deck.
Effective December 1, 2011, smoking will be prohibited in all guest staterooms. Those guests in balcony accommodations will be permitted to smoke cigarettes and cigars outside on the balcony. Spa staterooms, currently featured on Carnival Splendor, Carnival Dream and Carnival Magic are entirely smoke-free, including on the balconies.

Celebrity
Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom or on any stateroom veranda. Cigarette smoking will only be permitted in designated indoor and outdoor areas of the ship, while cigar and pipe smoking will only be permitted in designated outdoor areas. Smoking will not be permitted in any dining venue, casino, theater, hallway, elevator or corridor. Violations to this smoking policy will result in a $250 cleaning fee being charged to the guest's onboard account and may also be addressed through Celebrity Cruises' Guest Conduct Policy. There is a non-smoking policy on all components of the land tour portion of all Celebrity Cruises cruisetour products.

Costa
In the Theatres, Restaurants, Buffet Restaurant (indoor), corridors, halls, lifts and in the stairwells smoking is strictly forbidden.
There are reserved smoking areas in the lounges. Pipes and cigars may only be smoked in designated areas.

Crystal
Prohibits smoking on verandahs of all staterooms and suites aboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity. Most areas of Crystal ships have been non-smoking for several years, including restaurants and the main entertainment lounges. Pipe-smoking and cigars are only permitted in the Connoisseur Club and most open decks.

Cunard
Smoking is no longer permitted in any public area with the exception of Churchill’s Cigar Lounge (cigars only) and designated areas on the open decks. Smoking is permitted on private balconies.

Disney
Disney Cruise Ships have been primarily designated as non-smoking ships. To provide an onboard atmosphere that also satisfies smokers, designated smoking areas include many of the lounges, portions of open-air decks and private verandahs. Disney Cruise Line requests that all Guests observe the non-smoking areas and refrain from smoking pipes and/or cigars in any of the public areas.

Holland America
Holland America Line has a new smoking policy that will take effect January 15, 2012. Presently, all indoor areas are designated non-smoking with the exception of the Casino, Northern Lights Disco (ms Eurodam, ms Oosterdam, ms Noordam, ms Nieuw Amsterdam, ms Westerdam & ms Zuiderdam only), Seaview Bar (except ms Maasdam, ms Ryndam & ms Statendam), Sports Bar, Crow's Nest (except ms Eurodam, ms Oosterdam, ms Noordam, ms Nieuw Amsterdam, ms Westerdam & ms Zuiderdam). All showrooms are nonsmoking during performances. There are selected areas of the outside decks where smoking is allowable. Cigar and pipe smoking is only permitted on the outside decks.
As of January 15, 2011, All staterooms will be non-smoking areas, in addition to the other areas that were already defined as non-smoking. Smoking will continue to be permitted outside on stateroom verandahs. There are designated areas available for smoking both inside the ships and on outside decks as detailed above.

Norwegian Cruise Line
Effective January 2012, guests setting sail on a Norwegian cruise vacation are no longer permitted to smoke cigarettes in their staterooms. Guests who are in a balcony stateroom will be permitted to smoke on the outside balcony; however, cigar and pipe smoking in staterooms and on balconies is prohibited. Ashtrays will be available for use upon request through housekeeping staff. Cigarette smoking is only permitted in the casino, where ashtrays and appropriate signage will be displayed. Smoking is prohibited in all other public interior venues including all bars, restaurants, conference rooms, corridors, restrooms, staircases and landings. Guests may utilize the enclosed cigar bars on board Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Gem, Norwegian Pearl, Norwegian Dawn and Norwegian Spirit for cigarette, cigar and pipe smoking.
In addition, the policy allows guests to smoke cigarettes, cigars and pipes in outdoor public guest spaces and open decks, where designated by the appropriate signage. Smoking is not permitted near outdoor venues which serve food, in open spaces such as the jogging track, sport complex, children’s pool and in The Haven outdoor areas.

Oceania
Designated Smoking Areas are available on Deck 9, the forward starboard corner of the Pool Deck, and Deck 10, in the aft, port corner of Horizons. These areas are comfortably furnished and conveniently located near food and beverage areas. Smoking is expressly forbidden in all Staterooms and Suites, on verandas, or in any areas of the ship other than officially Designated Smoking Areas. Smoking in a stateroom or suite represents a serious fire and safety hazard to all guests and staff. Guests choosing to disregard this policy will be disembarked at the next port of call and may also be subject to additional fees that will be imposed to cover the costs associated with any damage to and the required cleaning of furnishings, verandas and surrounding deck or accommodation areas. All areas other than those specified as Designated Smoking Areas will remain smoke-free. This includes all guest suites and staterooms, verandas, restaurants, public areas, the Casino and all other areas of the ship. Cigar and Pipe smoking is only permitted on the forward starboard corner of the Pool Deck."

P&O
Smoking is not permitted in any indoor areas onboard P&O Cruises Australia vessels. Smoking is not permitted in cabins, suites, private balconies, the dining rooms, any food service area, the casino or in the show lounges and theatres. Outdoor smoking venues will be published in the daily newsletter onboard your cruise.

Princess
Smoking will no longer be allowed in passenger staterooms or on balconies, effective on all sailings departing after January 15, 2012. Princess still welcomes passengers who smoke, and will continue to provide special venues around the ship to accommodate smokers. Smoking will continue to be allowed in the Churchill’s cigar lounge, a section of the disco and casino, and a portion of the open decks.

Regent Seven Seas
Smoking is prohibited in all suites, staterooms and balconies fleet-wide. In addition, cigarette or cigar smoking is not permitted in any enclosed dining areas, whether it be the ships' main dining rooms, the alternate dining venues or the outdoor dining areas. Cigarette smoking is only permitted in designated areas of the outdoor pool area and the following public rooms: Seven Seas Voyager: Connoisseur Club, Voyager Lounge (Indoor designated area), Horizon Lounge (Outdoor one side designated area), Pool area (Designated area opposite side of the Pool Bar). Seven Seas Mariner: Connoisseur Club, Stars Nightclub (Indoor designated area), Horizon Lounge (Outdoor one side designated area), Pool area (Designated area opposite side of the Pool Bar). Seven Seas Navigator: Connoisseur Club, Stars Lounge (Indoor designated area), Galileo's (Outdoor one side designated area), Pool area (Designated area opposite side of the Pool Bar). Cigar Smoking is only permitted in the Connoisseur Club and the designated area on the opposite side of the Pool Bar. Pipe smoking is only permitted in the Connoisseur Club. Pipe smoking in open deck areas is considered an extreme fire hazard and is not permitted. Failure to comply with this ban will result in guests being asked to leave the ship at their expense, without refund or credit for the unused portion of their cruise.

Royal Caribbean International
RCI has designated certain public and private areas of the ship as “smoking areas.” Smoking in public areas is only permitted in designated smoking sections which vary by ship. Generally, smoking is permitted outdoors on only one side of the ship; and smoking is permitted on all private ocean front balconies, including Loft Suite balconies on Oasis Class.
To assist in locating areas where smoking is permitted, you will find visible signage posted within all smoking areas and ashtrays that are provided for your use. The location of all smoking venues can also be found in the daily Cruise Compass; or you may contact Guest Services once onboard. For your safety, smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom or on interior private balconies on Oasis Class that overlook The Boardwalk or Central Park. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, food outlet, theater, hallway or corridor; nor in Central Park, The Boardwalk or The Jogging Track on Oasis Class ships; nor in the H2O Zone on Oasis and Freedom Class ships.
A $250 cleaning fee will be applied to the SeaPass account if smoking has occurred inside staterooms or on private interior balconies overlooking The Boardwalk or Central Park onboard Oasis Class ships. Guests who violate this smoking policy may be subject to further action pursuant to the “Consequences Section” of this Guest Conduct Policy. Pipe and cigar smoking is only permitted within the Cigar lounge. (If no Cigar lounge exists on a particular ship, there will be a designated area for pipe and cigar smoking).

Seabourn
In all dining venues (inside and outside), In the Show Lounge/The Grand Salon; The Club and the Casino, on the port side (left side facing forward) of the Observation Lounge; in the ship's elevators, corridors and lobbies including Reception/Seabourn Square; in The Spa at Seabourn, the surrounding deck and Spa Terrace.
On Seabourn Odyssey and Seabourn Sojourn, in addition to the areas mentioned above, deck 11 including the retreat, Sun Terrace and all of Deck 8 including the Patio Bar, Patio Grill and Pool area. Pipe and cigar smoking is permitted only outside on deck.

Silversea
Most areas of the ship are non-smoking. There are designated smoking tables in the Panorama Lounge and in certain areas on Decks 5 and 6 for cigarette smoking. Cigar and pipe smoking is only permitted in The Humidor and in certain areas on open Decks 5 and 6.
Windstar
Smoking is not permitted in any of the staterooms or public spaces including all restaurants and corridors. Smoking is permitted on the outside decks in designated smoking areas only.
