ms Prinsendam

The Prinsendam was first launch in 1988 as the Royal Viking Sun for Royal Viking Line. Seabourn Cruise Line acquired the vessel in 1999 and named her the Seabourn Sun. The ship was then transferred to Holland America Line in 2002 and renamed the Prinsendam.

The smallest and oldest HAL ship, Prinsendam is in a class by herself.  Prinsendam does not have a two-deck main dining room or main lounge, an indoor/outdoor pool, or dedicated children's facilities like other HAL vessels.

Prinsendam received the Signature of Excellence upgrades in 2005 and 2010, including new dining and entertainment venues, new and refurbished staterooms, expanded pool deck area, and the addition of the Seaview bar.
