Outdoor Venues

WaterWorks

Featuring expansive play areas and a huge Carnival WaterWorks aqua park; "scenic whirlpools" that extend over the ship's beam.

In addition to a 303-foot-long, four-deck-high corkscrew water slide, another 104-foot-long spiral water slide leads into a giant funnel.

 WaterWorks also includes twin double-lane 80-foot-long racing slides and various water spray apparatus with squirting fountains, splash zones, “dump buckets” and more.

Carnival’s Seaside Theatre

This 270-square-foot LED screen and poolside seating is the perfect spot for guests to sit back, relax and watch classic and first-run movies, sporting events, news, concerts and other programming, either during the day or night. Panorama deck.

Sports Square

Features include a ropes course where thrill-seeking guests can traverse across nets suspended above Spa Deck 12; an eighth-mile jogging track; outdoor weightlifting area; two-level miniature golf course, a lighted multi-purpose court; full bar with a large flat-screen display.

The Lanai

Taking the traditional cruise-ship promenade to new heights, The Lanai is a half-mile, open-air promenade encircling Promenade Deck 5.

Kid's Areas

Camp Carnival (ages 2-11)

Camp Carnival features games, finger painting, story time, movies and more… all in a supervised environment, while their parents can be off having fun of their own. The fun doesn't end at bed time, either; Carnival's babysitting program offers, for a fee, a fun late-night option for kids while their parents stay out until as late as 3 A.M. 

Circle C (ages 12-14)

Video games, scavenger hunts, dance parties, sports, pool parties and special shore excursions.

Club O2 (ages 15-17)

Teens can enjoy the latest music with exclusive dance parties… video gaming and movies from the club's comfy seating, with video monitors all over the place. Outside of the club, activities include pool parties, team sports and special teen-only shore excursions.

Carnival Magic

The Carnival Magic offers a host of innovations, including the largest spa and children’s facilities in the fleet, a new indoor/outdoor entertainment area offering magnificent ocean vistas, and the longest water slide at sea, part of the sprawling Carnival WaterWorks aqua park. 

A variety of accommodation categories – including a two-bathroom configuration that will be ideal for families, as well as “cove” balcony staterooms closer to the water line are available, as well.

News/Incidents/Accidents

The Carnival Magic is reported to be having a technical issue with one of the stern thrusters. The problem began while the Magic was on her way to her new home port of Galveston, TX.  Repairs were made in Freeport before arriving in Galveston and more repairs were made while at home before her inaugural cruise from Galveston, TX to the Western Caribbean.

Accommodations

Carnival Magic offers innovative features including Cove Balcony Staterooms, Cloud 9 Spa Staterooms and Suites. The ship’s accommodations include spacious deluxe ocean view staterooms with a unique configuration featuring two bathrooms. In addition to twin beds that convert to a king and ample closet space, the extra-roomy cabins will include one full bathroom and a second bathroom with a junior tub, shower and sink.  In addition to dozens of inter-connecting staterooms, many of the Carnival Magic’s accommodations can hold up to five guests – a rarity in new ship construction and also ideal for families.

Dining Venues

All of the Carnival Magic’s dining options, except for the reservations-recommended steakhouse, specialty coffees and select patisserie items, are available free of charge.

Main Dining Rooms

Passengers dining in Carnival Magic’s two-level Northern Lights and Southern Lights main dining rooms will have their choice of six different appetizers and soups, two salads and six entrees each night.

Ocean Plaza

Indoor/outdoor café and entertainment venue. The centerpiece of Ocean Plaza is the Plaza Café, a patisserie serving lattes, cappuccinos, espresso and other specialty coffees, along with sweets such as baked-on-board cakes, pies, cookies – even freshly made milkshakes.  Full bar service, specializing in martinis, mojitos and other popular cocktails, will be offered, as well.

Wasabi

A sushi bar serving complimentary sushi, as well as sake.

The Gathering

Two-level casual eatery offering breakfast, lunch and dinner alternatives. 

Taste of the Nations

Featuring a different international cuisine each day.

Mongolian wok

Offering custom-made stir-fries with guests’ choice of meat and vegetables and finished with one of Carnival’s signature sauces.

Salad Bar

Extensive 35-item salad bar, 24-hour frozen yogurt, low-calorie dressings and sugar-free desserts for guests seeking healthier alternatives.

New York–style deli

A tandoori oven offering Indian-style chicken, fish and meatballs, along with traditional bread, chutneys and relishes.

Grille

Serving hot dogs, hamburgers and grilled chicken sandwiches.

Pizzeria

24-hour pizzeria with seven kinds of pies and calzone, Caesar salad and garlic bread.

Burrito Bar

Passengers can create an overstuffed wrap featuring their choice of chicken, beef, shrimp, salsa and other accompaniments.

The Chef’s Art Steakhouse

139-seat venue offers a sumptuous menu of prime dry-aged U.S.D.A. beef – selections include a nine-ounce filet, 14-ounce strip loin, 18-ounce grilled prime rib chop and 24-ounce porterhouse – along with lobster tail, lamb chops, Chilean sea bass, Maine Lobster ravioli and more. There is a charge of $30 per person. Located on Spa Deck 12. Prices subject to change

Cucina del Capitano (“The Captain’s Kitchen”)

Cucina del Capitano is a delicious dinner-time option with made-to-order Italian favorites in comfortable, relaxed surroundings.  Here, guests can dine on hand-made pastas, risotto and fresh-from-the-oven Italian specialties – many served family style – complemented by a wine list specializing in Italian vintages. Dinner carries a nominal fee.During the day, the space is utilized as a casual made-to-order pasta bar with items offered on a complimentary basis.

Pasta bar

Guests have their choice of pasta, sauce and ingredients to create a custom-made dish and enjoy traditional Italian favorites such as Portobello ravioli and pasta carbonara. 

Room Service

An expanded 24-hour room service menu includes choices such as Medium Rare Roast Beef and Brie on French Baguette and Grilled Fresh Mozzarella and Portobello Mushroom on Focaccia, is also be offered. Room service orders are delivered to guests’ staterooms any time of the day or night at no charge.

Feel the energy radiating up from the dance floor and get ready to add to it. This is the place to let go and get lost in the music as the DJ busts out the hits.

Punchliner Comedy Club

This club highlights a wide variety of comedians offering both family-friendly and adult-only performances nightly.  “Superstar Live” takes karaoke to a whole new level by offering wannabe starlets, crooners and rockers the opportunity to perform accompanied by a live band and backing singers.

Laser Shows

The 15-minute nighttime laser shows will feature choreographed lasers projecting brilliant aerial patterns of blue, red and green set to music by popular artists such as Styx, Rush, Van Halen, Boston and Pink Floyd are just one of a wide range of entertainment choices available.

RedFrog Pub

Caribbean-inspired Pub where passengers can kick back to live acoustic guitar and vocals as they  relax on swing-gliding chairs or amuse themselves with any number of bar games, such as foosball, a tabletop shuffleboard, darts, puzzles and more.

Burgundy Lounge

Comedians performing 24 shows each voyage in the 425-seat Burgundy Lounge. 

Encore! Theater

Three lavish production shows in Encore!, an elegant 1,400-seat theater, along with solo musicians on Promenade Deck and a host of live music venues. 

Sam's Piano Bar

Carnival Dream guests are sure to enjoy Sam’s, a lively piano bar featuring rollicking sing-a-longs, and Caliente, a pulsating dance club  with a high-tech sound and lighting system. 

Ocean Plaza

Exclusive to the Carnival Dream will be Ocean Plaza, a stunning indoor/outdoor café/entertainment venue that will showcase bands playing a variety of music genres.

Ocean Plaza also will host art, photo and spa seminars, scrapbooking classes, magicians and jugglers, trivia contests and people-watching spot.
