Norwegian Jade News
Drydock 2011
Norwegian Jade entered dry dock in Marseille, France on November 26, 2011 - December 8, 2011. During this time, the ship received the line’s signature Brazilian steakhouse, Moderno Churrascia, replacing Paniolo’s Tapas and Salsa restaurant on Deck 8.
The ship also received technical enhancements including new propeller and thrust bearings; seals on the Azipod propulsion systems; as well as a new coat of hull paint.
Itinerary
Norwegian Jade sails year-round, nine-day itineraries from Barcelona visiting Funchal, Madeira; Santa Cruz, Tenerife; Arrecife, Canary Islands and Malaga, Spain.

Norwegian Jade
Norwegian Jade is the second of NCL's four Jewel Class ships. She was preceded in 2005 by Norwegian Jewel, then followed in 2006 by Norwegian Pearl, and in 2007 by Norwegian Gem. Each ship has unique amenities, but has a similar exterior and interior design.
Formerly the Pride of Hawaii, the Norwegian Jade was reflagged into the Bahamas registry and the ship was renamed the Norwegian Jade 2008.
Norwegian Jade has a similar exterior appearance to NCL's Libra Class ships, the Norwegian Star, which entered service in 2001, and the Norwegian Dawn, which entered service in 2002. The interior design and amenities, however, are significantly different and merit Norwegian Jade having a Jewel Class designation.
